Encouragement for the Journey: Don't Give up!

 
 I get these great little sticky notes cartoons from Doug Savage almost everyday in my inbox. Yesterday's really spoke to me, especially in light of the writer's quiz about supportive/unsupportive writers' partners I'm running on my website.

There will always be naysayers, so don't give up your dreams to write to slog away at something you don't enjoy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! I've been going through another round of "can I really do this?" introspection, angst and downright despair. Writing IS hard work, and sometimes I just think I'm going to have to give it all up to save my sanity. But when I don't write ... yeah, sanity isn't even on the horizon. Writing actually keeps me sane. So, whether I can make a living at or not isn't the issue for me. I need to keep writing. This cartoon reminded me of that! ^_^
