I'm reminded of Machaivelli's "The Prince" wherein he explains that when motivating your populace, "...it is far safer to be feared than loved if you cannot be both."<br /><br />And I thought long and hard about the 5th motive and came up with zilch. I thought, maybe, <b>grief</b> or sadness, but that generally relates to a <i>desire</i> to eliminate the sadness.
